CareWins is a group of care donors supporting candidates who will build a future where we all have the tools – including paid family and medical leave, affordable child care, home and community-based care, and fair pay for all care workers – to be able to work, take care of our families, and contribute to our communities.
Donations made through CareWins go directly to the candidates and show candidates that care issues are winning issues. Each CareWins contribution adds up to an overall total that’s reported out at the end of each election cycle to the press and to leaders to build momentum for these critical changes.
Despite getting off the ground late in the 2024 electoral cycle, CareWins reached and surpassed the ambitious goals we set for our pilot year — launching carewins.org to the public and doubling our goal of 10-12 philanthropic leaders contributing through the site.
We’re delighted to share that CareGIVERS also utilized the CareWins platform this cycle, raising over $160,000 on this platform for candidates running in close races. Altogether CareWins received contributions from over 400 individuals, including more than 20 well-known individuals such as Melinda Gates, Liz Simons, Stacey Schusterman, and others.

We need CareWins now more than ever. Here's how we build toward 2026:
Expanded donor base
Expanding on the communications plan with donors by having donors reach out to donors, expanding our base of support, and holding events and engagement for both major and grassroots donors.
Deeper engagement with coalition
Enhance the ability of coalition members to successfully further integrate CareWins into their 2025/2026 outreach plans.
Advance this winning technology
Continue to leverage the expertise of coalition members to identify key races where CareWins donors can strategically move the needle through their contributions.
